If you want more vehicles and mods right now, go with FS2013. If you want "shiny" and "new", go with FS2015. I suspect logging is improved in 2015 but haven't gotten there yet.

If you already have fs 13 there is no reason to upgrade, if you dont own fs 13 then go for fs 15

2013 is the better game with mods ATM. 2015 is more pleasing to the eye but the new pda is cumbersome and the more I use it, the more i hate it. As well as the new store layout. I accidentally buy stuff and sell stuff ALL the time ):

Well said. If I had known the prize from that stupid quest, I'd have left it alone. Not only did we get a map of the coin locations, but the prize was just over the top.

Played every FS available on Steam, have to say the improvements in FS 15 make it much more desirable to me than FS 2013. Yeah, 2013 has more mods, but I'm confident that the modding community will be steadily releasing a ton of cool mods for 15 as well.

Overall 15 feels like a much more polished game, and I'm pretty impressed with the improvements, bost visual, interface-related, and gamelplay-related.

Guy who said the PDA itnerface was more cumbersome, I have to disagree. I prefer the full screen navigatable menus rather than that giant artifical PDA display taking up the majority of your bottom left screen. It takes some getting used to, but the interface looks much cleaner and is easier to work with.

You can also fine tune your cruise control now. AI helpers are much smarter, terrain navigation is easier and things don't get all weird on steep hills, vehicles get dirty, and the cockpit view looks much more detailed with functional display panels and stuff (Don't remember if FS 2013 had these).

of course mods are going to make it seem better, but if you compare stock game to stock game fs 2015 is the better choice (and the game just came out, it's only a matter of time before we have tons of mods again)

1100 hours I put into FS2013.

UI slightly better. Gfx better. Physics are way off. Logging. Nothing much has changed. If you have FS2013, save your money - it's as good as the same experience.

Maybe look at it when mod community starts to sink their teeth in more.

For $20. Who cares really? :)

Other things STILL not looked at.

Same poor pricing management, AI still hooks up on trees and traffic still needs to be killed off on big operations.

Cruise control, for those who played FS2013.... It went from 3 gears and cruise to an on/off single geared system. It's a PITA when loading off a harvester and having to unload back at the silos. You either have to up/down on 1 or 2 or you're forced to manually hold throttle.

And physics. wtf? I can drift an 8t tractor and an empty 2t trailer will pull me down to a crawl. That's NOT how tractors work. The torque and relative low speed on a 400+HP machine is as good as unstoppable when you're empty. Not in this.

So much COULD have been fixed and/or changed. FS2013 was $40. FS2015 is $20. It's obvious why.

Once you've learned how to use the new cruise control (which is simple), you won't worry about the silly old system.

Set the cruise control to 10 km/h (at least that's the harvesting speed I'm getting)
Press 3 once, and it'll drive at that.
If you hold down 3 however, it'll use the maximum speed... and when you next go to activate it, it'll have remembered the 10 km/h.

cruise is terrible- when first clicked, the vehicle automatically goes to max speed and you have to throttle back. I have to do a loop before I can join a harvester. dumb.

Yep. I know.

Try driving a multi-trailer setup on a windy road. I used to just set gear 2 and take it easy - like we do on a REAL tractor. Now I'm a throttle jockey.

Like I said. A PITA.
