What to do with loading wagon full of straw?
So I thought I could take it down to the biogas place like I do with the grass I mow but turns out I can't. So now I have a loading wagon full of straw and I don't know what to do with it. Where does this go? At the very least if I can't sell it or do anything with it how do I unload it from the trailer?

theres a sell point for straw at the main farm, (its a shed thats has straw in it) otherwise you can give it to your cows

Don't have cows yet so looks like I'm gonna go and try to find this shed. Thanks for the quick reply!

also is there any reason to bale the straw? I know you need it to feed cows but like I said right now I don't have any, so would there be any reason for be to start baling at this point?

bales are basicly a storage method for straw and hay, so no there is no reason to bale straw if your just going to sell it

Not really, it is mainly to take care of cows. You can sell bales for like $160 not worth the effort.

you make a small amount of money from selling it at the shed beside the chickens but it is hardly worth the time and effort.

If you need to unload a trailer you can use a front loader or wheel loader positioned at the trailers rear. I filled my trailer with silage and then had to unload it at the biogas plant with my frontloader.

You can also wrap hay bales in film with the bale wrapper to create silage, which is worth alot.

Though I admit that i've never actually made silage this way, as i've always done it from turning corn into chaff, storing it in the biogass silo and then selling there once the process is complete.

@IT'S RAW okay so silage confuses the hell out of me. I see there is a wagon that says it wraps hay so it becomes silage, but why would I do this? I can just take grass and let it sit in the biogas place. Why would I go through the process of drying it out to make hay then wrapping it? Currently I just collect the grass I mow and let it ferment in the biogas place. Which leads me to another question: Is it better to sell the grass by the piles right next to the mowing fields or turn it into silage?

If you are baling hay anyway, wrapping takes the step of making silage out (like collecting grass with a forage wagon). It's just another option for feeding your cows and/or selling for profit.

id rather stock them somewere for later if you are planning to have cows later. not worth selling them really.

Where can I unload the loading wagon at my cow farm to feed them? Everywhere I have been around there says "straw not allowed here"
