How do you install a mod?
OK, I see under "options" the downloaded mods. How do I get them into the game? I keeps checking in the "store" for the particular item, and its not there?

When you're on the CATEGORY screen of the store - check in the top right, there's an arrow.. hit it twice, and it'll say CATEGORY (MODS)

You have to download the file you're looking for, extract it and then move the folder to User Name / My Documents / My Games / Farming Simulator 2015 / Mods. Once placed inside you should go to Options and the Mods tab to make sure they have been installed. Once installed and confirmed you can simply go to the store in your save game and click the right arrow until you hit Mods, you should be able to find everything in that part.

At the moment some mod sites are adjusting the titles of some mods with characters that aren't supported by the game. You'll either have to edit the file or try another mod site to find one that hasn't been edited.

if you click the mods like and download there mods you double click them and they will install. those ones are .exe files. when you go to the store click the arrow on the top right to see mods. you will need to close and restart your game to work.

now if you go to a mod site and download a mod that is not from the farming website do this. this is a video for 2011, but its the same thing just folders will be 2015

Did you extract the mods using 7zip or something like that? Always double check and if its still not working it may be a broken mod :fs15tractor:

You can just download mods from the web, but be careful what you download, and if you want to play MP with your friend, he'll need the same mods as you.

The mods on the farming simulator website. Are they basically mods approved by the developers and the mod community to work well in the game vs other mods? Basically im asking if theyre safe to use and do they cause desyncs in the game at all.

Personally, I've never had any issues with the mods on the ModHub on their website.
No clue if they're tested more than others, but the vast majority are good quality mods.

A website that does testing of mods would be FS-UK.com
