Required Power on Tools
Seems like all of the tools other than the ones you start with have a required power requiring a 150k tractor just to use them, or is the required power a recommendation? As it is, I'd need a 195,000 tractor just to upgrade to the next cultivator, and that seems ridiculous.

Its called Realisim this is a sim. Most of the bigger equipment puts a toll on the engine thus you need a bigger engine to run them or bog down. Not ridiculous more like real life. Your playing a sim.

The jump in the tractor you need is what is ridiculous, why buy all the tractors inbetween if the only ones needed are 180 hp+ to use upgraded tools.

A simple "it's a recommendation" would have been fine, though. 143 hp tractor can use equipment needing 180+ hp.

Example: tractor is 144HP , the baler needs 122HP the power that remains to drive is 22HP.
Go figure :)

Dark is correct the rear mowers ask for like 200hp but you can run them on the 160hp puma and t6 newholland

Power requirements are either bugged or absolute nonsence. If you buy the biggest loading wagon you can operate it with basic tractor. Bug? Feature? No one knows. If I want to buy some new equipment I have to save, then try if I can operate everything well and eventualy load and try something else because those numbers in power requirement doesn't mean absolutely anything

as far as loading wagons are concerned. It doesnt take much to turn them on but when its full try driving up hill with that little tractor =P

I pull full 32 KL tipper with 90 HP tractor uphill.

For most equipment its a recommendation. Pull the Vagerstadt drill with under powered vehicles and it wont give you maximum speed for field work etc. The only vehicle I have seen which MUST have the required power is the woodchipper (200HP minimum)

Yeah, screw that woodchipper hard, btw. LOL. I purchased it, couldn't run it, worked to get the money to afford a tractor to run it, could barely get that so I sold my old tractor picking up a new holland. The new holland power take off can turn the chipper over and muscle through my throw-away lumber, but said new holland can't attach any of my tipper trailers. If I want to haul my woodchips down to the bio-heating plant, I have to run a train with the new holland pulling the woodchipper, with the tipper trailer attached to the woodchipper.

It's not pretty but it works. Just saving to get me a haulage tractor now.

Some machine you have to turn on like the mower or especialy the woodchipper need the required HP to even turn on.

Things like tippers and seeders do not. I used the largest seeder. the 12m one with a 90hp tractor. It didnt go fast. But it worked

I think when it comes to anything that isn't driven by the tractor it's more of a recommendation. I mean you can try to pull the largest plow with the smallest tractor but it may not go over to well. When it comes to implements that are PTO driven then it stands to reason that you need that extra power to keep the tractor in operation and keep the implement going. I know if it won't run it you'll get an error in a hurry though.
@zomb Lee if you put an sauber weight on the back of that tractor then you can attach the tippers its maybe a little bit more elegant solution to that problem. i do it myself too.

Happy farming all.
