n00b question, how the hell do you pick up/move logs to sell?
As per the title, just started, got a chainsaw, found a tree, chopped it down and cut it up but can't figure out how I then get them into a state where I can move/sell them or even what to use to do it?

Pretty simple really. Buy a logging trailer prob the Fl 13AK cause it has a crane. Not the best it will do. load the logs onto the trailer and transport to the mill.

Nuther logger newbie question: How to cut down a tree with a chainsaw? I put the saw into position, saw a green ring, cut through the tree...with noise and woodchips flying as it passed through the trunk...and the tree just stayed there, didn't fall. Uh...timberrr anyone?

You can buy the tractor with the frontloader for log as Bull said. It's less costy than the crane trailer. Problem is there is no cheap trailer for transporting wood. So dumb. So i guess the best thing to do is to log around the lumber mill and just buy yourself a machine to replant tree as soon as possible so you never run out of trees to cut. I just have no idea how long it takes for them to grow. Does anyone know?

Try to cut the tree in diagonal, not horizontaly. So the tree will slide on the stump and fall on the ground. ;)

I would like to know how long it takes a tree to grow in the game myself.

Educated guess: If the devs are staying true to their usual scale factors, then I'd say a 50 year tree would take 50 days, 20 year tree 20 days, etc.

Technically, a tree cut horizontally shoudl fall too cuz weight on top of the tree is not equally balanced and there is wind... but this game still lack some physics lool. So the only way to do it is cutting in diagonal and you'll be alright. LOL. Even funny we cant jump against the tree to push it. Our farmer must be a REALLLLY weak man xD

Yup but if you dont have the trailer with the crane, which one can you use to transport wood?
DrGrex Oct 31, 2014 @ 1:34pm
the timber runner. although i cannot recommend this version. cause i'm standing atm at the sawing mill trying to sell my wood from the runner

Thanks for the input Bull, Texasguard09 and Vorrrace, much appreciated :)

But I cant load the timber runner with the cheapest front loader tractor. It's not going high enough... or am I doing something wrong?
DrGrex Oct 31, 2014 @ 1:55pm
