I you do get that one, get the large weight for the back, or else you'll tip over when you pick up a large tree :)
I had to learn this the hard way ;)
Also, small tip! Instead of throwing the logs right into the pond, deliver them to the small black/yellow marked zone next to the train at the lumberyard, it gives you the same amount of money too BUT after you've done some loading on the train you can hit a switch and send it off... and the logs on the train will make money too :) So you earn cash twice!
What do you mean, open it? You mean the "thumb"? How to extend it? I use a controller, but with m+kb, the controls should be written in the top left. It works like all the other front-loader accessories.
I found the only way was to ram the logs up against something so the forks could be forced under the logs, but even then the way they handle is so unstable.
Some form of grabber key would have worked better, get the forks against the log hit key log rolls onto fork and to lock it in close the grabber, would be more stable and would fix the logs do not have true weight when trying to pick them up problems.
I use the trailer with the crane and it is a pain too, but once you are used to it, it is faster than pushing logs all over the place for several hours at a time.
Really? I'm not having to do that at all. Using the small NH tractor with the front forks and the log handler. Never have to press the back button to get both to work (forks are controlled with LB, the log handler with RB).
LOL... it'll be quicker next time, now that you know how to do it! :D
Holy crap, if that's true, then that's awesome. Thanks.
EDIT: Well what's happening with me is I am using the telehandler, and the rb controls the extension of the arm. So yeah, I have to switch.
Possibly too many controls to fit comforatbly on the controller without doing that "back" switch?
I know that FS15 is being released on consoles in the spring, so controller compatibility is a big issue for the devs.
