Get started with this:

Read the documentation here: http://gdn.giants-software.com/documentation.php

Free videos: Ahough the videos are for the previous version they are free and mostly correct. http://gdn.giants-software.com/videoTutorials2.php

The paid, up to date (recommended!) videos are here: http://www.farming-simulator.com/dlc-detail-fs15-mt.php

You can find the editor and all supporting plugins, docs, etc. in the SDK folder of your FS15 Installation folder.

Devote an afternoon or two to reading about the Editor and then learn to navigate both the Scenegraph and the 3D Viewport. You will also need to download and install Notepad ++.

Accomplish that and we can talk further. Once you have the basic vocabulary, it will be easy for me and others to explain further.

Hi-Torque gave you some great advice as learning how to use the Giants Editor is the first step in creating mods for FS. Next you need to decide which type of mods you want to develop, maps, equipment/assets or scripts. Developing scripts will mean becoming familiar with a scripting language, I believe FS uses Lua. Creating equipment, such as tractors, or assets such as barns will require knowledge of a 3D modeling engine. Developing map mods can be done entirely in GE, and of the three types of mods seems to me to be the best starting point. Farmer Yip has been streaming the creation of a map for FS15 on Twitch that is very informative.
