Lets review the process for installing mods.
After downloading the mod, check the following:
I also recommend taking a few moments to learn how to find the log.text located here: C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2015 should you run into issues. There are several dozen errors and warnings that can easily be read and used for troubleshooting of problimatic mods.
You do not need a video to copy and replace files.
It depends on which texture you are replacing. Skybox? Fruit? Foliage? Waterplane? Soil?
Mod link?
But as a rule, for base game maps (note for these maps you will get a warning in MP):
Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Farming Simulator 15\data\maps\textures and /or foliage and replace the .dds files with the mods.
For mod maps, you will first need to extract the map to its own folder preserving the folder structure. Then replace the .dds's as above using the relative path. There is no need to recompress the map. In fact uncompressed mod maps will load signifigantly faster. For example:
C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2015\mods\BJORNHOLM_NEW_DESIGN_40\Map
