how do you download mods without getting malware??

How do i download? i click the green download button below the content then i get all these BS ads that I know are spyware. There appears to be a link that will start to download but then i go to this upload site. How do i get the mods without the spyware? Thanks.

The green "Download" button, takes you to uploadfiles.eu
On there, there's a blue download button "Free Download" clicking it once, it changes to "Download File" clicking that, and it downloaded the zip file.

The best thing you can do to avoid getting malware, is using a browser with AdBlock of some sort.

Try not to download any mods that use uploadfiles as a download link. Try places like the following.

It's not a good idea to run two different anti-virus programs. They'll conflict, and do crazy stuff. Just use one good one, and you're set.

They aren't using the easy, free, good options out there.. they wanna make a bit of money.

Both anti-virus programs are designed to work with each other.. One is primary for scans and the second one is the active for web browsing. Just like one has auto fill passwords to circumvent key mappers. and the other one repairs the registry if corrupted..

Ah okay. That's a different matter then. Just don't use two actual anti-virus programs alongside one another (Kaspersky and Norton, for example.)

In defense of the moders they are not always choosing which site their mods get posted too. In many cases the mod author does post the mod to a safe site such as FSUK. Someone else then reposts the mod to other sites, despite the note on the original mod site not to repost the mod to other sites.

Don't use those sites. Use fs-uk.com, ls2015.com or get the direct downloads from modhoster. Those seem to be OK, most mod sites are not.

thanks for your help guys. now i just have to figure out what i am doing wrong as i can't get them to work. I download the rar file then i extract the contents into the My documents/mygames/farmingsimulator2015/mods but when i load the game i do not see anything. What am i doing wrong?

In game Press P, then the upper Right arrow twice.

Ensure the mod is not packaged in another archive.

Ensure the mod is for FS15 and not for use with the editor.

Red "Free Download" button. Turns to red "Download File" button. Then it'll say "Sending file..." and the download starts.
