These kind of post have come up alot, ever since the first FS and I've never understood the attraction with JD. Sure some of their older stuff is good, have a soft spot for older things, but now-a-days its seems theres brands out there that will do the same job for a lower cost. Some one once said to me JD are harley davidsons of the agricultual world. The thing is about HD is they use their name to sell their products and they spend more time in the garage than they do on the road.
But each to their own I suppose
And how much of the crap is he going to have to sift through before he finds one that actually works? Biggest problem with that site is that it tells you nothing about the mod. Just shows pictures and gives you a description of the mod.
I'll also put a quote from a comment made on that site: 'Pretty bad that out of all the tractors released so far as Mods I have not found one John Deere mod that works as well as the vanilla tractors'
and created a half breed combine.
We have a dedicated server and we are looking for mature US Central/Eastern Players...
Case is the primary tractor on my farm because of this. I like my farmer to be dedicated to a brand, would love that to be John Deere, but untill I can find some good heavy tractors I'll be sticking with Case. Can find amazing Case mods all day long....
+1 on those two JD mods....I'm playing Old Family Farm using as much JD as possible. Most of the 7 and 8 series tractors have big problems. There's a 4x series mod out there that's pretty good. The Model T is a hoot (great putt putt sound file), but it is basically good for pulling a small tipper and that's about it.
