How to make hay

do you use Hay and Grass or just Hay.

Depends on what you need it for. If you want to have cows you need both grass and hay so you can make the perfect feed mixture so you can get 100% milk production.

To make hay you can cut grass and then dry the grass which turns it to hay or you can harvest wheat or barley and turn on the leave swath trail then bale the hay trail it leaves.

You could also just use a mixingstation which does the TMR (mixed food) and that takes grass/hay, straw and silage.. That way you DONT need the hay, but CAN use it instead of grass..
Im pretty sure theres a placeable version of it, otherwise theres some UPK fermenting silos that does the same, and theres a few placeable versions of them too..

When you harvest Wheat and Barely that trail it leaves behind is straw not hay.

To make hay cut grass then use a tedder to turn it to dry it. Then use a windrower to put it in rows then use a baler to bale it.

There is actualy a modded NewHolland square baler that will take raw grass and bail it to hay. A little cheap...but for huge farms it really helps (like PV 15 farms lol).
