CHEATS in-game not working - need $$$

The button is orange but nothing happens when I click it.
Any suggestions?
Money is the quickest way to sandbox explore the game, and I did it all the time in the old Cities.

Take a loan and spend the money building new structures and soon enough you don't have to worry about money at all.

Have you actually checked your budget? The 'add money'' button is a +1,000,000 in C-XXL, but while this may not immediately (especially if your city is paused) show on the top bar, should show on the actual budget pane! ... this button, in C-XXL, can be used multiple times - without leaving to spend the additions.

(Unlike C-XL Platinum where the button is a =500,000 that normally is immediately shown on the top bar.)

You are looking at the budget pane - on the 'general' tab and the 'General Budget' line? Correct?
not the 'cash flow' nor the 'income' lines?

OHKAY...
The money is listed next to a weird C-like icon! I told you I was hitting that button; well, I have $70,000,000+ now.
However,
please note, as I totally missed this, MONEY is not "$" in this game's menu, it's listed to the right of the old English-looking capital C. What that has to do with $$money$$ is beyond me.
I saw the negative amount of cash flow and the red warning about great cash loss, and it never registered with me that that long number above the smaller negative one WAS the cash.
Just shoot me.

is more like an english 'cent-sign' and I believe stands for 'Credit', the monetary unit used in Cities ...

Oh - and clicking on that weird looking icon will open the 'budget' pane!

I click that cash so many times. I put it up to a 1B several times to try to fix the money loss problem & matter what I do it still is losing 4-6M. Even if the trading is fixed, It toally screwed my city of 30M

This is not a 'I don't have enough CASH' issue - you have an unbalanced (poorly balanced?) budget causing a 'Cash Flow' issue ...

You might want to start a new discussion on 'Cash Flow'?

Trading was & still is so screwed in the beginning that it caused a lot of problems for what is now a city of 30M or close to it Population. I Had saved the city in very early stages so if anything went wong I could start over without losing the editing & terrorforming I did. I have started it over & everything is going better than in the other city with same name by the way I just added a 1 after the city name so I can always go back to the city with 30M without losing the new One. I had a city with more than 50M on XL making 100's of millions & I did nothing differant. So I know there is more of an issue with trading than Budget
