Tried Activating my Old Cities XL Code in Steam for the 50% No Go

Hi I purchased a boxed retail wersion of Cities XL and followed instructions to get my 50% discount and it said invalid code in steam , Cities XL has 24 numbers whereas Steam Codes have 25 numbers, how does this work then how do i access the 50% off price area.

We are very sorry but the discount is for the Steam version of Cities XL.

This is what is explained on the Cities XXL Store page:

This discount has no limit in time and can be claimed by all owners of Cities XL*, Cities XL 2011, Cities XL 2012 or Cities XL Platinum.

ok but in the city xxl page there are instructions to enter the key of a no steam version. They don't work? it's a lie??

They do not answer, text has been changed since before release. Yup, was a lie. Sad but true. If you didn´t get Cities XL on Steam you are pretty much done with the discounts. Go buy the full version or just let the game go and forget about it.

Si tu versión de uno de los juegos de Cities XL no es de Steam (digital o física):
1 - Consigue la Clave de activación en el Manual o la Guía de instalación incluida en la caja del juego o en el email que recibiste tras adquirir la versión digital.
2 - Inicia sesión o crea una cuenta nueva en el cliente de Steam
3 - Selecciona Activar un producto en Steam

4 - Activa tu juego usando la Clave de activación. A partir de ahora lo encontrarás en tu biblioteca de Steam
5 - A partir de entonces podrás acceder a la oferta del 50% de descuento en la página de la tienda de Cities XXL.

It´s in spanish but it says that even if your game is not from STEAM you can place your code and register it on STEAM and then you can ask for 50% discount.

I want my valid code to work or a conversion to a code that works on STEAM, get my 50% discount and then buy the game. Too much to ask? Thank you.
