Cities XXL: Patch #3
Hello everyone,

The patch #3 for Cities XXL is now automatically available on Steam.

Patch #3 release notes (26/02/2015):

General
- Fixed different types of crash.
- Fixed camera collision with the ground.
- Added VSync option.
- Added a hide/unhide button for the building filter panel.
- You can now move on the map with WASD or ZQSD.
- Various minor bug fixes.

Community
- Added a change note field before to upload a Workshop Item with the UGC Manager.
Note: all text fields in the UGC Manager are limited to ASCII characters only. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASCII)

By the way, when I start a brand new city, when I get my first unlocks popups, it says that I've unlocked large offices and large elites and bunch of other things I'm not supposed to have unlocked, and indded, nothing is unlocked in the menus. The game is vanilla, with no expert mode. That was post patch #3, maybe it's fixed now.

It's very nice that Cities XL is now Steam enabled, with updates, works like a charm when you go slow and plan cities out, and the fact that we're not totally left in the dark (like the previous disc versions, or Platinum forums), I'm hopeful that this game will fill the void for large creative cities and Cities Skylines will fill the void for a citizen-by-citizen more in depth simulation. Both games can co exist.

and a much requested feature by the community with WASD, nice
I hope the glitched graphics mapping from multiple defined tree zones will be fixed in the future too

Thanks for this! Seems like you are finally doing a serious attempt at fixing the issues that people have had problem with for a while. I hope you continue this path.

Thank you! One option i would request would be to allow the cities to "remember" the option for playing in elite mode (unlocking the buildings from the start). Minor annoyance everytime i reload i have to recheck that box but not a major gripe.

Anyway keep up the good work and I look forward to the DLC packages coming out!

It seems like it actually fixes crashes. Mine did not crash today and was more smooth than before. Keep up the good work with patches and stuff.

Yes, thank you for continuing the fine work. I am enjoying the game more the more I play.
A hotkey for eco upgrade to industry would be nice or a policy setting so when the workers all g o on vacation and dont come back, it doesn't revert back to a smoker.

Does the FPS drop really bad when you're dropping new zoning, or roads that are long? What about FPS issues near end game? Not that it matters to you guys, because I've already spent money on your re-hash of a game, but do you guys ever plan on fixing those issues?

i don`T have these issues in the "rehash of a game"

Maybe you are mistaken with the old game.

Anyway having issues still is likely a driver or card related issue that the devs might be able to assist with if they report the issues directly with devs not by whining on steam.

I only use on a laptop and i don`t get the slow i have seen in some vids of this release. i would say thats a issue with certain cpu or cards.
Is there a known issue with the trading achievement(s)? I have traded plenty of tokens (and received in-game achievements) but haven't got the Steam achievement for '1 token' yet.
wow... "Fixed different types of crash", but my game crashes all time when im trying to load my city. i spend hours for the 700k population... iam realy dissapointed...!
now...
- how can i (you) fix it?
- can i delete Patch#3 and run my game on Ptach#2? (and how?)
- does the issue has something to do with modding?
