Cities XXL won't launch

I just bought cities xxl, but the game would not launch; please help.

hi sorry to hear that you having problem, i know real bumber when you buy game and it dont work, i know the feeling so let see if we can help you to get you playing and having fun...

ok lots of things to try, not all apply, it just list ive done, like i dont think you have mods yet, but it has to be on list just in case

remove all mods

verify game cache (just to make sure)

post details about your hardware (cpu, gpu, memory) and os (windows version n if 32/64 bits)

make sure windows, drivers, c/c++ runtime, .net runtime, directx runtime, etc are all updated

also post what is at end of last log file

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Focus Home Interactive\Cities XXL\log

verify game cache (just in case)

did you do verify game cache?

have you used or are using any mods?

It could just be bad save, so try this

rename (but be warned you will loose access to your cities)
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Focus Home Interactive\Cities XXL
to
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Focus Home Interactive\Cities XXL.org
