Beginner Tips?

I've had this for awhile and I am giving it another shot but I dropped it last time bc I couldn't figure out what the hell I was doing. Anyone have any advice for coming to grips with the game's basics?

It's not an easy game to get into, but it's not nearly as difficult to learn than it seems at first glance.

Start by doing all the tutorials, then find a nice small, short operation like Dawn of Blau or Croatian Legion. Play through that several times, paying attention to the result of giving various types of orders.

When there's something you don't understand, google it. Chances are you will find some old thread where I or somebody else asked the exact same thing.

There are also many youtube videos out there explaining various parts of the game.

Btw the game said six updates found and when I hit install it came up with a bunch of error screens.

This is not really a tutorial it's more of an outline, I've found a lot of YouTube videos to be very outdated also
