New Sound Mod with Speech
Here's a sound mod I've been working on for the past couple years. I wanted to wait until I figured out how to modify speech to throw it all together, and thanks to Andrey and Vit.Politruk, I figured out the encoding process. I had to split the mod into two: one for speech, and one for everything else. I enjoy switching between this Mod and ZeroCrack's RukiSoundMod depending on my mood.

Speech: 143 voice files (death, wounds, idle chatter, combat shouts, burning, etc)-

SFX: 302 files (gunshots, bullet ground/flesh impacts, UI sounds, ambiance, tank and arty fire and ricochets, bullet cracks, engine sounds, explosions, etc)

*I highly recommend playing with music and speech at 70% volume in the options- otherwise it is too loud compared to the other sfx. If you want to mix the speech mod with another mod you enjoy, such as Ruki's, just be sure to adjust the speech volume until it feels right in the options.

*Mod order between the two don't matter, but if you want these sounds to be primary, they both need to be at the top.

I am glad that my help brought you the result, we will appreciate it:steamhappy:

302 files (shots, bullet strikes on the ground/flesh, sounds of the user interface, atmosphere, tank and art fire and ricochets, cracks of bullets, engine sounds, explosions, etc.) These 302 files did you rework all the sounds on your own or what did you leave vanilla??

Most of the sounds are raw audio from other WW2 games, but some is from youtube, especially ambiance. I am most satisified with armour ricochets and the sound of bullet impacts, as well as the combat chatter (sourced mainly from RO2). As far as speech, I left in a mix of original audio, to keep the variety and organic feel up. Not a native speaker, but I tried to make all dialogue appropriate. If anything is wrong it can be corrected because I have a lot of raw audio.

Hearing the Germans scream 'Komminishten!' from Cod WaW brings back some memories lol

Ok maybe hearing them scream is every 5-10 seconds is less appealing, is it actually that squad saying they've spotted me when they yell 'Communists!' or is it just a random line they scream every few seconds.

I hear Kommunisten! being screamed up and down the line at the beginning but it seems to stop after a while is all

Recognized the sounds a lot, the explosion are at least something quite difference. Since there already a RO2 sound mod, but it's a great addition anyway. That soviet ura charge is perfect, again from RO2 but it's good.

vanilla version the Soviet actually shouted ura as well, but in order to make this you have to attack and turn on AI control (maneuver control).

Red Orchestra 2 is a WW2 multiplayer only FPS set in and around Stalingrad. It's a nice mix of arcade and realism.

I still play it on a regular basis, just filter the servers to those which have most active players and you should end up with 2-3 full servers at any time.

Played for more than 5 years already, I got the game during release. Yea, there are still some servers left, but not like before.
