02/02 Patch!

[Aspyr-Blair]

Today we released a patch to deal with several issues related to how we set up the save file structure in Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered.

Fahrenheit now uses the Steam profile ID instad of the profile name itself.

• By design (and yes we should have been doing this from the start), this fixes issues with special characters and multiple profile ID originations.
  
• Fixes a soft freeze whereby the user would see a black screen after inital language selection or when creating a save folder.

We tested thorougly over the weekend for QA, so please chime in if you are seeing anything strange.

That would be a save location. Put back into online mode so that Steam will update the game, and you should no longer see this issue unless its a one-off crash (which of course could be caused by a million different things.)

Still the same. It keeps freezing after Quantic Dream logo and I didn't even choose the language. I double check for something that prevents the game from crashing like a vcredist or DX installation error that would require manual fix. Nothing, it's perfect, yet, black screen is there.

Your crash is completely different issue than what this patch solves for. Have you pinged our support team with a DXdiag yet?

Please remove from the folder with the game unused files Tages protection. DrvSetup.exe, DrvSetup_x64.exe

Well, I thought the patch would also fix the black screen. And nope, I was hopeful about a patch, like today's. Don't know if this is actually useful; I can select the language now, but the game just black screened forever. Even had to press the Windows button to escape to desktop. But, I could see a huge box showing "Call Stack" and a gigantic amout of codes (sorta). That's new here.

Does the call stack say the same code over and over again? Please ping support at support.aspyr.com as we are attempting to recreate this bug in-house with no luck. We need your hardware profile so that we can trace this.

Yup, it displays the same "004416AE :" code 'till the end. On the bottom, it says "Click ABORT if you want to quit this aplication - Click RETRY if you want to debug". Nothing works, though, can't even close the box without having to finish the entire application. It's named "Quantic Dream tools" btw. I will check support.aspyr.com right away. About my system, the OS it's a Windows 8.1 Pro (everything up to date).

Could you guys add the italian translation which was supposed to be there? To have it right now in italian, we have to start a game in english, download this http://fahrenheitgame.altervista.org/fahrenheit_ita.zip , go to the savegames directory (Steam/steamapps/common/Kelvin/Saves/SteamProfileId) and delete the 4 files present. Then we have to copy the zip content just downloaded and rename the 2 files called Player1 giving them the profile name chosen when you first saved your profile in game.
And if you are feeling epic, could you consider making achievements?

EDIT: I only noticed now that topic about asking for the italian language was locked and Aspyr-Blair replied we can simply download the file from the internet instead of solving the issue at their roots, meh... I will give up then, even if I appreciate seeing this removed game come back in form of a remaster, if Stubbs The Zombie or Omikron get released by Aspyr I'll make sure everything satisfies me before buying, that's for sure
