HD vs SD comparison video - which do you prefer?
The changes are quite subtle but definitely there if you're looking. Doesn't really add much to the overall experience though. You decide.

Hmm. It looks like HD textures removed shadows and wrinkles or creases on clothes.
But it still looks like original with higher resolution.

The original looks better overal.. and it was in HD already anyway.
Original. The HD textures look quite flat and depthless. Just take a look at clothes.

That is what I first saw in the video... Also in the toilet scene, the original has a much more imersive feel with dirty walls falling apart and the new version has a clean brand new painted toilet... sucks. It looks like a bad community mod.

I get why some wouldn't like the HD textures. For the most part, I think the HD textures look great but there are some objects, like the toilet, that didn't need to be made "shiny-looking". I was really surprised how much better this game looks, probably because (and I've mentioned this before) we tend to forget how bad the game looked, esp. for a 2005 game.

Also I agree with what Nick Jackal said. A lot of the clothes, while sharper and more detailed, are less wrinkled weirdly. I'm not sure about shadows being removed though.

Good video nevertheless and thanks for posting it.

No point in buying it then since I got's the original on Steam already. Unless there is lots of extra content.

I don't see any remastered features here. The original is also HD, it always was. Seems to me that they just tweaked the game a bit which you can do aswell, plus replaced some of the wall textures. There is NOTHING remastered about this one, it's just a way to make the title look better. Remastered would mean that they REMAKE the character models, the textures, and add some DirectX 11 features or whatever. This is just a small tweak to give it the Remastered title without any cause. The Original indeed looks better.

Looks to be the only thing added is controller support. Should of added achievs and cards too.

I have seen better fan made texture mods.

I already own a copy I purchased from GOG and I was wondering if I should buy this so called "remastered version" and after seeing this comparison video I can't justify to purchase this version since they have done so little to the actual graphics.
