Controller Fix
Is there a Fix for Controllers, i cant use my right stick

Yes, XBox controller supports XInput, so there's no issue there. The issue with older controllers using DirectInput. Anyways, I have now managed to workaround that issue!
Logitech Rumblepad 2 (DirectInput) now fully works in Fahrenheit for me!
Steps to make it work: Go to Steam - Settings - Controller - General Controller Settings and tick "Generic Gamepad Configuration Support there" after that buttons remapped (probably using Steam Controller Emulation) to XInput for game to fully recognize it!
Hope it helps someone!
I've also renamed my controller to "Rumblepad" to differentiate, not sure if it helps in recognition, but if the above doesn't help, try renaming it. I didn't change any bindings in game or in Steam "Define Layout", it worked out of the box after enabling this tick

I'm on the same boat, and have almost exhausted all free means of a solution :/. I have tried using a Xbox 360 controller with a wireless adapter and a Logitech F310, but both yield the same result (a failed right stick).

Anyone found a solution yet? I have same problem with my generic controller with and without X360CE emulator.

I don't believe there will be a solution. Might as well buy a PS2 and the game again. That's what I did lol

Or get a Retail Version, bought one and it worked with the Controller

What I don't get is why it's so hard to get working joypad controls when they used to work on the console versions? Joypad controls were rather flaky on the original PC release too, how they've not been able to fix it in ten years is beyond me. I'm using wireless XBOX 360 pads with the genuine USB adapter, the XBOX pads that are recognised as the standard for all joypad ready PC games nowadays, and also listed as a fully working controller in the game desctription. For me, even the mouse and keyboard controls don't work properly, like in the tutorial where you press a button to dive out of the way of the car. Doesn't recognise me pressing anything. It's an absolute joke, I'm having to play the old PS2 version in an emulator instead. That's right, a game running on a system it wasn't intended to run on, works better than a game supposedly written for this platform. Imbeciles. But hey, they'll make patches to add acheivements, that'll keep people happy, right?

Hey anyone, who's experiencing this problem, just get the original GOG version instead, works perfectly with 3rd party controllers...
Idk, why devs decided to support only some of the Xbox gamepads on this version...

Btw, the main failure: Remastered does not recognise +-Z directions on right stick, original does and also the force feedback works.

For some reason, the game prioritizes DirectInput controller over XInput, so even if you emulate it via x360ce, original DirectInput will take preference. As DirectInput is deprecated it's not fully supported in the game with Z axis Up/Down not working. I haven't found a solution around it except using native XInput gamepad, that way it works without issues - using DS3 controller.
I've got no troubles with an Xbox One controller... Tried using Big Picture's controller mode?
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Very nice of you to share the fix :)
It didn't work for me. It only recognizes two positions for my right stick: Top-Left and Bottom-Right, so I can't perform actions.
