Yea, I plug mine in, and it doesn't work either. I change the settings to gamepad but still nothing.

I canot change the bindings. I had to force quit. I played it on PS2 (long ago) and it was great.

Try turning on controller first, then launch the game and change control setting on gamepad

I played the whole game with the Xbox 360 controller, works perfect.

The only thing you have to look out for is that you do not have any other USB Gamepad-ish devices connected, otherwise it might detect the wrong one. In my case I had a racing wheel attached at the same time and it wouldn't recognize my xbox 360 controller, disabling/unplugging the wheel did the trick.

Make sure it is a genuine "Microsoft Xbox 360/One controller". And make sure it's up to date.

It has a microsoft shiny sticker. It works in other games.
