Possible fix for game not starting (no window appearing)
Search and download MSVCR100.dll. This works if you run the app from your steamapps page and it mentions that it is missing. This worked for me on windows 11.

I believe I downloaded it correctly, but it seems to have no effect.

I just had to download it and install it. I downloaded the 64x and the 32x versions of msvcr100.dll. I got it from here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/msvcr100-dll/826a842c-7a2f-4ebc-bb21-4cee86b234b0
