Tenchu Z was awesome and I would definitely like to see a proper port to PC on Steam.

I rather have a new Tenchu game.
The old ones never where really polished, so my guess is that they have not aged well.

But i'm dying for a proper ninja game, no ninja game after Tenchu came close to being a ninja game.

Really? You didn't like the music? That surprises me, i loved it.
To be fair, I don't remember much of it, just disappointment. But if you played Tenchu Wrath of Heaven, no other ninja sneakn comes close to as good music except maybe Mark the Ninja.

Really though, the levels and mechanics of Tenchu Z shine above all the other Tenchus just for polish, makes it worth forgiving only two or three bosses and a weak story.

Dude now you make me miss that game even more!!!!

Hey Folks! It's now 3 years, since I opened this discussion here. And it doesn't look that Tenchu Z is ever going to be ported. We saw games like Bayonetta and Vanquish coming to steam after a long time of existence and they sold well enough... But if we want to play Tenchu we have to stick to emulators I guess... no matter which Tenchu you prefer. Buy yourself a copy... they are cheap at ebay and run it on an emu. Regarding Tenchu Z: The Xbox360 emulator "Xenia" already runs Tenchu Z. It is not perfect but evolving quickly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqN8byqoz2I

I agree. Also, I wish the devs would get together to revive the Tenchu and WotS series altogether. Even a spiritual successor would be nice. (None of that AkibaStrip nonsense.)

I'd buy it.
Isn't Tenchu in some kind of legal limbo?

4 years and this thread keeps on going. The demand is there, the game isn't :/. Let's hope Ghosts and Tenchu Souls I mean Sekiro die way more than twice make the devs of Tenchu and WoTS think about finally throwing their hat back in the ring

I really hope that Sekiro will be more Tenchu than Souls... But what do you mean by "Ghosts"... maybe Ghost of Tsushima?

Me too. By the looks of it while definitely on the souls engine it is much faster and the second gameplay trailer definitely had a more Tenchu vibe. Yes, I meant Ghost of Tsushima (I thought it was plural) but from what I saw so far it seems much slower pace admittedly I just saw a clip from E3 though as Sekiro has way more of my attention as a Tenchu, WoTS, Nioh, and Dark Souls fan. Sekiro will be hard for me to be let down by just given the theme and the dev except for the constant fear of a bad PC "port", but DS3 was fine for me on PC.

That's wild, I didn't even know xb360 emulation had come that far yet. Is that glitch on alpha transparencies in the video? I'm not exactly a Digital Foundry analyst but it's pretty cool seeing one of my favorite consoles get emulation support as I'd love to revisit higher res, higher frame rate games that never got a PC port or remaster (only about 12 games left that haven't ;) ). I wonder if this news of the Xbox assets and servers merging with PC to make PCs essentially able to play the full XB1 library comes to fruition, how long would it take for someone to finally get their hands on the OG Xbox and 360 emulation that XB1 uses?:steamhappy:
