A few questions and some griping
Question one. What is the easiest way to farm books, assuming yen and attack power isn't an issue. I've read that they drop off certain bosses, and I have seen at least 4 drop during my Harikiri playthroughs, and I know Dojimi sells them at great crime rate. But what is a step my step guide as to how exactly to get him to sell them.

Question two. If I play 4 save files simultaniously will I run into 'myself' playing them. Or do I only appear from a finished playthrough carried over on that save? I've wanted to design some wacky samurai but i'd rather not have to play till Boiled Samurai every time.

Question three. How is the easiest way to level the Tokyo fighting style. On my main save file I have 20 female students and I have Sensei. But after reading that the style is only leveled through dojo challenges, i'm left with the prediciment of Sensei killing every challenger before I can even enter the Dojo. Any help would be great.

Question four. Is there any way to freeroam without having to deal with blocked off areas due to story events, whenever I try and do the 8 samurai quest I'm always one quest giver short because they're locked behind a gate or the quest area has a story event happening.

Last question. Is there a set number of people you have to kill during the wave fights. In particular the hobo Constable fight and the brittish soldier fight when you side with the Prajna.

Now onto the griping. Is there any way to NOT hit your friends during large fights? I use a long blade with sweeping strikes for crowd clearing but I almost ALWAYS hit an ally, which leaves me with the poking attacks which are hard to hit with.

Also is there any reason why some non combatent allies will walk up to the fight and basically stand right next to you? Laura does it a hell of a lot, and the lady who you save from the sailors does it too.

1) You can't farm them, they just drop randomly.
2) You'll always run into your previous walkthroughs' characters unless they got Boiled Samurai/As a Demonscale ending. Trying to meet characters from other save files won't work.
3) Just kill Sensei in dojo, and she won't be killing your challengers, which lets you level Tokyo without any problem.
4) You can go to sleep to have those characters dissapeared from the location.
5) I think yes, but I don't know exact numbers.
6) Just try not to hit them, that's all.
7) Nope, the AI is acting randomly, but for me they usually are staying away from me fighting someone.

For levelling the Tokyu style you can repeatedly leave and re-enter the dojo, and eventually it'll spawn a challenger as you enter. The quickest way to level it is to use a broken sword, which does no damage but still counts as a hit. It takes about 1800 points to reach fifth level so you might be pounding them for a while, but then it's just a case of fulfilling the requirements to unlock each move while fighting challengers. If you're fighting someone who is using the Chu-dan stance then you might even be able to unlock every move in that single fight (assuming you haven't broken their sword by then).

For blank books, I've found that Dojima as the smith always sells them on day 3 with a great crime rate, no other requirements.

Many thanks to you both, since making this post I have been using a 1 attack power sword and just wailing into the challenger for exp, but I will try using a broken sword so it does no damage at all.

@Sword of Damocles, in regards to Sensei, i'd considered killing her but I was afraid doing so would mean when I finish that save and start another that the dojo would have no master and I would have to start fresh (Not a great loss but an annoyance still)

1. I'm assuming you're referring to blank books for custom styles. You can purchase them at the casino for 15000 gold (exchange with casino coins), besides Dojima.

3. You can accumulate the points outside the dojo and "mass level-up" with dojo challenges (that's what i did on PS3, if i recall correctly)

The pupils you acquired always stay in the dojo even when Sensei is gone, the only difference is you won't have to challenge her to get the dojo back, you'll have to pay 3000 mon instead.
