Windows 10 compatability issue - fix

Hi everyone.

A recent Windows 10 update has caused a compatibility issue with Way of the Samurai 4. If you're using Windows 10 and are unable to play the game please try updating your video card driver, as there are still a number of compatibility issues with the latest iteration of drivers and Windows 10.

We weren't asking people to move back to windows 8.

All we suggested was that people having this problem rollback a version of their video card driver, as a recent one had a compatability issue.

Wether its an older video card or windows, the fact still remains that you should had mentioned that in your summary and not in these DISCUSSIONS! You guys are pretty much just some trash scammers. You should check your negative reviews and take a little ADVICE from them for once. Your asking us to rollback an older version of a video card driver to play one game. What if theirs newer games that need a newer one. You guys really need to discuss this matter cause its a HUDGE problem. Since I'm already in this discussion I might as well give you guys some commentaries about your game. I would give it 5/10 for map exploring ( not a big map at all. ) 7/10 on overall combat gameplay and I also think you guys should recheck what you've guys done on this game. For example: The smith's apprentice was dead yet the smith keeps asking if I've met him. You guys could had at least give me a text to say that he's dead with a multiple choice awnser. I know you guy's aren't usless with what you do but theres a lot of things to be upgraded for this game. Theirs also more critics and commentaries I have but I'll save it for later.

The people (or I guess person) you're talking to had no involvement in the development of the game before. (And even then, the closest you'll get is to interact with someone who might have been involved with porting the game over to PC in some capacity.) It sucks, but your best bet at this point is to get a refund from Steam.

To be fair the recent Windows 10 update screwed up several other games too, this is all Microsoft.

Thanks, but fortunetly I found a fix from yahoo awnsers that took several minutes to do. But thanks for letting me know about what I can do to fix the error thats fixcating around this problem.

I pre-ordered this and finally got around to playing the other day, only for it to crash the moment the games window pops up. I've rolled back my drivers(and my physx) as the dev suggested, but that didn't do anything for me. I take it Ghostlight is done patching this mess and 10 users are just sol?

+1 - I can't find a fix anywhere. If someone has an actual fix, it'd be great if they shared it. I'm pretty sure it's too late for me to get a refund, but I would like to see if there is a fix before trying for one.

Fwiw, I updated my nVidia drivers to the latest version and the game works for me now

It appears that this compatibility issue has now been fixed. As such I would now advise you to update your Video card driver if you're having this issue on Windows 10.

If you're getting the PhysX error then please try getting hold of the latest version of PhysX (9.15) and installing it. Then simply copy the PhysX dll file into the game folder.
