Keyboard+Mouse vs Controller gameplay

Just a minor question to help me decide on getting this game...
Which one is smoother?
Pros + cons?

Both controller and keyboard can be fully remapped, so the game has that going for it. The one caveat is that mouse keys cannot be rebound and are bound to default actions.

Mouse1 is weak attack, Mouse2 is strong attack, Mouse3 (middle mouse; clickable scrollwheel) is guard.

I was not able to bind Mouse4, Mouse5, or the DPI buttons on my Logitech MX-518, so I doubt you'll be able to with any other similar mice. You would need to use an external binding program. Strangely, the mouse controls are not listed on the controlls rebinding screen and instead they list H for weak attack and U for strong attack. I thnk G is Guard. IIRC, the tutorial even tells you to use those buttons, but it's crazy talk.

Game recognized both Steam controller and Logitech F310 as a normal XBox controllers, but I have Windows 10 which does a great job of emulating XBox controllers natively. (no need for x360CE) Rumble does not work on Steam controller, at least not that I can recall.
