Hidden Path Ending - Crash

I can't find a solution on the forums to my problem and I hadn't received an email message in return yet so I felt as if I might try posting my problem and see what happens.

I got through all of the hidden path route and as i defeated the final boss on the black ship the game crashes at the same spot and out of nowhere right after an explosion. What is more that every time I tried passing this cutscene, even when skipping I went to validate my files and they are always missing. So, I download them, but the samething happens again. I try to beat it, game crashes, files are missing, redownload, and repeat. Compatability mode for windows 7 and 8 crash the game on start up. I also notice that there are black blob like partickes floating in the air if that means anything and this is the only real problem ive had with the game. But i dont want to lose all my weapon progression and i want to know the ending.

I'm having the same issue as well. Anybody know a way to fix this?

Unfortunately they do not know what the problem is and it is a selective one that they can't really repeat. Under my amateur opinion, what I believe the problem is that the save file is corrupted. Similar to the pokemon red cartridge save corrupt with the gameboy. The only way that I was able to get around the problem was to leave the city to end the game and restart. I attempted the path again and was able to finish it. (after I played alternate paths. I did not try again until 2 other endings.)

Normally, I would do that but I'm sort of stuck on the path to the final confrontation due to saving at the point after the tortures (the photo guy is for some reason imprisoned in one of the cells). When you say leave the city and restart, do you think it would include dying then taking the option where one can save and quit?
