How do I feed the pack of dogs?

I know I need to give them a rice ball but how? I cant find any command to drop or throw food items. Only eat them. I am using an Xbox 360 controller

Yeah I found out how to toss items by accident while playing this game... Trick is to hold the block button and then hold the use item button and then press light attack. So Hold RB then press and hold up or down to use the item you want to toss... You character will reach in their robe and hold out the item you have highlighted... And then if you press X the character will flick their wrist and toss the item on the ground...

Honestly the onigiri only buys you a few seconds... and you toss the items only a very short distance... What I found out was that usually when you get close enough for throwing distance your close enough to agro them...So what I found works best on the mission is toss a small pile of onigiri a good ways away from the pack of dogs and then run up on the dogs and aggro them to chase you and then run up to your pile of onigiri and then loop around to the package you need to pick up.

...But to be honest the best way to do this mission is to skip the onigiri all together and just run quickly by the dog and have the whole pack chase you and run a lap around the cemetary away from the package and then quickly sweep in and kick the package and the pack of dogs are trailing you and then book it to an exit.

Drop an onigiri in place you enter the map, not too close to the enterance nor to the packs.

Arrange it in someways. When you are ready, get close to the pack and bring 'em to the spot that you place the onigiris.

Proceed to collect the treasury and make it fast. 2 - 3 onigiris plus some onigiris near by the tombstone would buy you some time.
