tips for recruiting for dojo?

honestly i'm not even sure what i'm doing

i go up to thugs, underlings, ronin, and even samurai, kick their asses and ask them, only for them to kick me and run off

the only two i've ACTUALLY managed to get was a random thug, and a ronin who i talked to and seemed like a nice guy

does what they say actually affect their recruitment, or do i just need to start with thugs and work my way up for rep?

My advice. Recruite women. It's harder to get but they are giving more points (allows you to get 5 star dojo). Also... reach 20 women studens and you will meet special Dojo challanger who will drop Pervet hand-to-hand style (it will allow you to night crawl ANYBODY at the game)

To recruite someone you have to make there stamina reach "0". Let them drop to the knee and ask to join. Be ready for a kick. If she's trying to kick you, use jump attack or thrust attack and she will drop again, ask her to join again. Hit => Repit => Profit.

Also don't forget. Some challangers will drop "styles" so if you want to farm it, you need to freez the amount of students and engage every type of fighter (most of the time 3 for each star) and get: weapons and styles (also you will see some funny models)

I'm highly recommending you to make weapon x3 BigShot 500 damage. You will kill anybody on harakiri mod with just 1-3 shots. Claws don't have charms so if you will hand-to-hand styles (and you need claws to get decent damage and block attacks) better to start upgrade it.

Most cool stuff you will get on harakiri mod/good crime rate/day 7.

watch out that there are no constables or thief-takers around they will try to arrest you if they see you attacking random people.

use the BLUNT side of your sword walk up from behind and use a strong attack like from the starting style Mushin Swordfighting block+direction+strong attack (needs to be unlocked first) they cant evade it and will drop on a knee (vitality 0) just ask them to join your dojo if they refuse and kick you, kick back fast and they will drop down and you can ask them again. this works 2~3 times then they will run away and you cant drop them again

also, for the purpose of recruiting, can demonscales arest me? from what i've heard the tiers go demonscale>blond knight>samurai>ronin>garbage

Demonscales gives alot of points, but many people says blond knights gives pretty low points. Even less then Geisha. But i didn't test this part yet, so right now it's just rummors. You'd better test it by yourself.
