Cagnazzo keeps beating me!
Anyway to put this guy down quickly? I keep spamming Thunderspells and Hi-potions but it doesn't help at all.

You need to have 1 person as a dedicated healer, also when you see a message about his barrier remove that asap. Thunder spells are his weakness when the barrier is up. When it hasn't got a barrier its weak vs ice.
His Tsunami move has a small chance of an instant KO is this version so try to keep everyones HP up. Use Zeus's Wraths works too & have some echo screens when he counters with silence. You can hit him with slow to give yourself a slight advantage too. Good luck

As guy said above, slow him, bio him, Thunder for when barrier is up and Ice for when there isnt one

What level are you?
Dont waste time on Twin. Just keep casting your best thunder spells, occasional Bio, have Porom heal and Tellah heal once in a while. Yang should power up to 3 and attack with two thunder claws.
Cecil is probably best for using items and attacking once in a while.
This game is tougher than the SNES version, you will have to grind for levels in the Ancient Waterway, probably.

Pal and Porom are 24, Cecil is 17, Yang and Tellah are 23.

Get Yang to focus up to level 3 with two thunder claws and smack him ONLY when his feet are surrounded by water. Don't cast any spells until water is at his feet. You can keep hammering with melee and always keep healing.

First time he hammered me because I expected it to be easy. Done the same dance for years and I got it on hard mode. Second time, I knew what to expect and used that tactic above. He died before he even got any real damage into me.
