I haven't had an issue booting up, running, or completing any FInal Fantasy title currently on Steam.

I own and have beaten the PSP Complete Collection with FFIV and TAY. I did not know there was an iOS port, but I bought this one anyway. Simply to show Square-Enix that there is a market on PC/Steam, and that they should put in some effort and port games people really want on PC: FFIX, X, X-2, XII, Type-0, and XV.

"Pretty much" being the operative phrase. Not all of it is from the original game. The final dungeon, after you regain Cecil, is completely original in setting.

You know what I realized? Of course the monsters and the setting are the same as the first FFIV! It's the SAME WORLD! Did you expect something different?

I've pretty much learned my lesson as far as Final Fantasy ports on Steam are concerned.

So far:

Final Fantasy III - won't work at all

Final Fantasy IV - technically works but actual gameplay is like watching a slideshow. So bad it's literally unplayable

Final Fantasy VII - D-pad doesn't work on my Xbox 360 controller that I bought specifically for this game. Have to navigate menus and such with the clunky thumb button.

Final Fantasy VIII - Same issue as FF VII.

I bought XIII and XIII-2 but lack the courage to try either of them yet. I love the Final Fantasy series and FFIV: The After Years may really be a kickass game. But I'll be damned if I'm gonna lay down more money just to be disappointed again. At least put out a demo.

What kind of machine are you on? FF3&4 work perfectly for me. while 4 certainly feels it would be better on a far smaller screen then 1080p X.x

as far as your 7&8 goes, Xbox controllers (Orignals & 360s) dpads have always sucked ass, use a PS3 controller & DS3 Tool (MotioninJoy) to emu a 360 pad. Far better hardward.

:P the issues with 13/13-2 are more related to underusing GPUs

Though, as far as I'm concerned, I am happy to see more FF games come to PC.. even if they are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the ass Graphics from a DS *which is a bad system to port from, I'd rather have 2d art then that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 3d*
