Tower of Babil
After entering into the locked room on B9, and Yang does his thing I can't exit out of the tower with spells, the teleporter on B6 is still broken and it seems like the only way out is the long way. I'm assuming this is not normal and I've somehow triggered an annoying bug. I also can't access that other part of B6 (to the west), nor the majority of B8, which I'm assuming is reachable via the broken teleporter on B6.

Any kind of mild hint of what I'm doing wrong, or an out-right confirmation that it's bugged would be greatly appreciated. :woodlehappy:

It's not a bug, you have to head down to B5 drop down to B8 then take the west exit to leave the tower.
Thanks for the response LilG, I've been operating under the assumption that it wasn't a bug, but during all the wandering I haven't reached level B5. This seems like it should be incredibly simple, I'm quite confused at the moment. Looking at the overhead map doesn't seem to be helping either. I'll try to find a place to literally drop down ...
So one just simply leaves the way they came in on B13 (ie, the long way). Still no idea how to reach the other parts, I guess that's coming up.

its because theirs a cutscene/plot advancement when you exit.

You can't get to the other parts of the tower until you reach the cave west of Elban Castle (or next to the tower if you've never been there before) by hovercraft, which you pick up after returning to Baron and talking to one of Cid's assistants.

Be mindful of your advancement if your'e attempting a 100% map completion. There will be two cutscenes that will halt your progress, one when you enter a familiar chamber and attempt to interact with a similarly familiar set of items, and the other when you enter the last door one floor below where the cutscene ends, forcing you out of the tower without much warning.
Thanks for your helpful response Jyetta, I will keep those points in mind.

Yea, I remember specifically that the white magic Exit/Teleport doesn't work here for plot reasons. You could potentially use black magic Warp, but it requires quite a few casts to the point where it isn't much of a shortcut.
