Are you telling me the developers have these items in their inventory while playing the game at some point ?
Nope they just thought "Good luck buddy, you're gonna need it"
I remember trying this for many hours on my DS once, they didnt change it one bit on this one either.
Dont remember getting any of those items, rainbow pudding, summons whatever
One of the most annoying things about the cockatrice summon grinding is that the majority of the time the random encounter isn't an enemy that even drops it, so it's just 100% wasted time. And there's no place where Siren calls them. Ugh, frustration.
Good luck on the Cockatrice, i agree it doesnt get more tedious than that :D
I haven't even touched Tails farming ;_;
I'd say it's easier, as a lot of the mobs needed can be killed in one turn, but the tedium level is higher, because the tails can be Sirened reliably. the Cockatrice and Bomb summons can't.
So imagine fighting the same random mobs over and over, but maybe 1/4 or maybe 1/3 of the encounters are the ones you actually need to kill for the summon. The summons are the same 0.4% drop rate. 0.8% if you have treasure hunter active.
I actually prefer farming for tails because at least you can consistently fight what you need to. Summon farming becomes infuriating because so many encounters become a sheer waste of time, and it nearly takes the same amount of time to run away as it does to kill the trash. Ugh.
