How to Take Screenshots?

So, the title basically says it all. You know how with Steam games, you hit F12 and it takes a screenshot? For some reason, I suspect related to the launcher perhaps, that doesn't work. I've tried the usual way for Windows where you press print screen, or alt + print screen to take a screenshot of just the window. But both just yield a black window, unfortunately.

Now that I think about it, I'm sure I remember seeing a borderless mode in the video settings. So I'm wondering if I could take screenshots playing it in that mode. If there is such a mode. I'll have to give it a try and report back if it works.

But I've seen lots of screenshots other people have taken. So I refuse to believe it's impossible. I'm sure I could use some 3rd party software like Fraps, I think does it, but I don't think you can import 3rd party screen shots to post on Steam. Can you?

Weird. For me, I get no notice or anything that a screen shot has been taken. Unless there is no message and they just appear in some folder where Steam usually puts them without any indication.
