Are you kidding me ?!?
Found 4 Rainbow Puddings in an hour ! That must be a world record !
This is incredible, its like the game has raised the drop rates for the items that i already possess lol.
Now if only i can get that Pink Tail instead D:
This would be some awesome if they allow this :D
Its for the Namingway side quest in Mobliz, i think its where it is.
But its the hardest side-quest in the game, only because you need this item to complete it.
Namingway is now Hackingway and showing up in other Final Fantasy games.
Namingway asks for the rainbow pudding while he's in Agart, the greedy bastard. I tried farming for it in the Antlion cave for a while but I was losing the will to live and decided I'd just do it when I had the Treasure Hunter augment to help me.
Though I did manage to get insanely lucky in the Lunar Subterrane - I opened the one chest where the Red Dragon ambushes the party. After it wiped out everyone BUT Cecil, I kept toying with the idea of just allowing it to finish the job and resume after the full wipe but decided against it. After a tug of war ensued where I mostly used Cecil to cast Cura on himself and hoped the dragon would physically attack so Counter would kick in on it, I made it through the fight.
I didn't even fully register it at first, but my reward for sticking it out was a red tail. That was the first (and thus far only) Red Dragon I've encountered the entire time I've been attempting to map out the Subterrane, so I'm calling that pure rear end RNG smooching that cuts down on hours of mind-numbing grind inanity to get the Onion Sword.
Also dont have to do the Namingway side quest again.
It does make some small amount of sense though, just like the Onion Sword not being early game breaking (like I'd secretly hoped it was) until you can level out Cecil and/or Kain to the point where they can absolutely destroy with it properly.
