Reflect strategy no longer works on Bahamut.
I've reached Bahamut on the home stretch to beat the game. Unfortunately, the traditional advice (seems to be from 2008) is to cast Reflect on everyone. This sends Megaflare back towards Bahamut and kills him. Some strategies suggest he will kill himself if you do this enough.

Just played him and it looks like Megaflare goes right through reflect and kills everyone with less than 3000 HP which for me is just Cecil.

Any tips on how to reduce damage and win this fight?

Looks like that advice was given for the original 2D versions of FFIV, apparently reflect doesn't work on Megaflare in the 3D versions. I'll paste below the advice from the FFIV wiki for Bahamut in the 3D version. In addition to what it says, having Rosa use Shell can increase magic resistance for the party, which can help resist Megaflare.

A useful strategy is to quickly cast Slow on Bahamut, and have Rosa and Fusoya cast Haste on the party, then Berserk on Cecil and Edge, unless Cecil is equipped with the Avenger sword. After Haste has been applied, have one of the primary magic users cast Hastemarch with Bardsong, which should give the main attackers near instant turns. Bahamut should fall before he even gets the chance to use Mega Flare once.

Thanks!

I used the above strategy, didn't bother with Shell, and defeated him a turn after he counted down to '2'.
