Opening Movie Sound Problem
I have problem with the opening movie, the video plays fine, but the audio sounds terrible. it looks like the audio play at lower fps compared to the video. Anyone knows how to fix this?

I have the opposite problem. The opening movie's audio plays fine, but the video never plays, and when I skip it to go to the main menu, the entire screen is scrambled like the static on a broken TV. Aaaannnd then the game crashes.

Great patch, Square Enix, great patch. It doesn't do what it promises (full-screen still doesn't work) and it breaks things that worked perfectly before.

It is due to I think the May Windows 10 update.. The work around is to rename icon PNG file and the opening MKV file to something else so they never load.

私も同じ問題が発生しています。オープニングムービーは正常に再生されますが、ムービーのサウンドの同期がおかしくて途切れながら再生されます。購入したのにいきなりバグとは・・。

Not sure whether the same issue, but the following workarounds worked fine.

1. Right-click Final Fantasy IV, and click [Manage] - [Browse local files]
2. Rename opening.mkv to opening1.mkv
3. Play the game

1. Final Fantasy IV を右クリックし、[管理] - [ローカルファイルを閲覧] をクリックします
2. opening.mkv を "opening1.mkv" などにファイル名を変更します
3. ゲームを起動します

Hope this helps / 参考になりましたら幸いです。

Well, It makes the game skip the opening movie. Since I'm sure no one wants to hear such garbage sound, it can be considered as a workaround until SE fix this.

My workaround is pressing "Escape".

I was able to get this working properly by switching my primary sound from my speakers to my ear phones.

Agreed on this one; I'd enabled Windows Sonic for Headphones, but disabling that made the video start working fine again. Thanks for that help, Lukifer!

Since I no longer have the game, I can't confirm it. But I'll pinned it for the answer.
