Character names in Japanese

Characters names in Japanese are some random alphabets like "Sjscjz"
Is there any way to fix this? it bothers me so much. If not then I'm just gonna refund.
I've tried reinstalling too but didnt help.

日本語で遊ぶとセシルやカインの名前が文字化けしていて、"Sefjzjz" のようになってしまいます
誰かほかに同じようなことが起きてる方いますか？また改善する方法を知っている方がいましたら教えてください。
一度アンインストールもしてみましたが何も変わらずです。

I posted the same problem last week. It happens just in Japanese, right? I hope they fix this soon, targeting spells and stuff is difficult with those random signs

Oh I am glad I'm not the only one having this issue. but looks like ppl in Japan doesnt have this problem since I checked some screenshots of the game and they seem to have normal Japanese names. I personally got a refund. It just bugged me so much haha
I really hope they fix this soon then I'd buy it again.

Oh I really wanted to play this ame so I kept it but yeah the names problems is an issue. For example I tend to select characters with their names instead or icon/arrow when giving items so I have to double check in case of phoenixdowns for example.

I hope they fix it soon :/

Same thing is happening for me! I want to play my JRPG games in Japanese, but Steam seems to have problems with that, especially FFIV. The launcher doesn't let me rebind the controls to make B-Okay and A-Cancel, so I had to rebind it on the Steam Overlay, but nothing I do makes the names go back to normal!

Did anyone find a fix for this?

I could fix it: just change the Windows' non-unicode language for apps to Japanese.
Notice that this might mess your text for some apps depending on your native language.
