Stealing Dark Matter from Zeromus

Hey guys I cant find this anywhere on google, but is there an easier way to do this? I've been in battle for an hour with Zeromus trying to steal the Dark Matter and it just keeps saying "no items to steal".

I don't remember there being anything special about it. If it says "no items to steal" though you're doing something wrong, because he does have an item to steal... the dark matter. Check to see if you already got it and just didn't notice maybe?

I don't remember if it's before or after you use the crystal on him, probably after.

You have to use the crystal from your inventory and get him to transform before he will have it available to steal.
