help on first battle with golbez

hi, i'm having difficulty with the first battle with golbez. does anyone have any tips on fighting him?

I know i did a lot of grinding before I went into battle with him. If you still have some of the special items that can hit him big use them. You didn't say what your team is and what level they are at either.. Good luck

Party consists of Rosa, Yang, Kain, & Cecil. As for the levels: Cecil 37, Rosa 28, Yang 38, & Kain 33. As well as Rydia when she returns to the party.

is there any good place to level up in this game? compared to FF III this one feels more annoying in terms of grinding.

theres really no way to prepare for him, as long as you're at least lvl30-40. if rydia or cecil dies, you're screwed, as golbez will kill them before they can be healed.

Best tip I can offer is to have Rydia cast Bio right off the bat.

Also, you may want to try using a Phoenix Down on Rosa.

One last thing: cast Libra every time Golbez uses Barrier Shift! You'll then find out his new elemental vunrability as he will absorb everyting else.
