Is this game sequel to the Dragon Slayer 2: Xanadu?
So I just bought the game should I play dragon slayer 2 first?

Nope, not necessary, the stories are unrelated and just share a slight leitmotif.

All the games share in common are that it's always about "Xanadu", the interpretation of that city can differ from game to game.
