Other than that, the only real options are to grind levels via traversing the optional dungeon.
However, be careful of the Lich (which will be all too happy to cause a Level Down). They appear relatively frequently later on in the optional dungeon.
I believe every 5 floors of the dungeon has a special item that can be obtained. One of these is super useful as it allows the player to pass through the barriers blocking the doors, completely bypassing fights. However, it's one of the last items to be obtained.
Leveling Strategy (Early Floors):
Just keep the Bonus Stats Guardian equipped and grind through the dungeon.
Leveling Strategy (Mid Floors):
1. Equip the EXP Boost Guardian.
2. Grind through the optional dungeon until just before Leveling Up.
3. Switch to the Bonus Stats Guardian.
4. Get the Level Up.
Leveling Strategy (Late Floors):
If you have obtained the item for bypassing Door Barriers:
1. Equip the Bonus Stats Guardian.
2. Bypass all fights (as much as possible) until reaching a floor with enemies that provide decent EXP.
For example, if the equipped weapon already maxes out (or nearly maxes out) the STR stat, there is no benefit to sinking further points into STR.
After the next level up, the points would be locked in and wasted.
So basically I should get powered up from the dungeon itself in time?
