2020-Best settings and fixes for stuttering inside.

Launch Configuration. Make sure these two settings are as below.

Frame Buffer - Unused

Use System Mouse Cursor - UNCHECKED

You can apply proper anti-aliasing and Anistropic filtering in your graphics Control Panel.


NVIDIA - Manage 3D settings, Program Settings Tab. Add the game to your programs. Set antialiasing-mode to "override any application setting". Set Antialiasing setting to 4x. Anisotropic filtering can be set to 16x as it does not cost performance.

Make sure Vsync is enabled in your control panel, or you are using g-sync/freesync.

If you're running on a 1080p monitor and the game still look like ♥♥♥♥, you can give DSR a try. Whatever you do though do NOT use frame buffer in the game settings and the system mouse cursor is what causes the stuttering.

Oddly enough, checking the system mouse cursor in addition to your recommended frame buffer settings is what fixes the stutter for me.

Unfortunately, the system mouse setting has really odd controls and the cursor was stuck in the middle of my screen the whole time, so that's no good either.
