Are the red slimes supposed to have infinite range on death?
I've never played the original version of this game, so not sure if this is a bug or not, but whnever I kill a red slime, their death explosion seems to cover everyhting in the room, and there's nowhere to run. So, currently Im just avoiding all of them.

is this intended, and there's some mechanic I'm missing, or is it a bug?

No, it's definitely bugged. I played the Japanese version last year and they had a regular AOE field of effect. But thankfully the only other slime of its type to appear later on, in the final dungeon, is working just as intended. Just run around these guys or use them for absurd purposes like destroying all those boxes at once in that room in Eternal Maze B1.

I manage to avoid the explosions by using Thrust right before it explodes. Not sure if this is another bug or invincibility frames.

was wondering why these mofo kept hitting me even after running away from them! :steamsad:

I just figured it was intential, since everything else that explodes has a very obvious AOE effect (like a dome) when they go off, whilst these things just explode fire all over the current room.

I cant say I was particularly troubled by them myself, I coudl take a room full of them all going off and survive it, and once you level up, theres even less to worry about.

But if it IS a bug, they should probably fix that 8v

actually kinda liked how much it expedited those rooms, especially when they were mixed with skeletons

Yeah, echoing what Don said above, they just have a normal aoe in the original version, not sure why they act like this here, it definitely seems like a bug.

9 years later, and you saved my life, thank you.
