Cool, that doesn't sound too bad.
It appears that the camera rotation is bound to the trigger and you can't change it and the game reads the axis wrong.
Are you using Windows 10 Anniversary edition? The Anniversary edition should fix the Xbox one axis issue for all games.
Not sure if that was the original design or the PC port people did a great job with it, but I cannot go back to the controller after this.
"InoutMapper" emulates a basic Xinput controller while also turning the touchpad into a mouse.
With it, there is rarely a need to switch devices.
But like people alredy said, if you map the "use Mouse" key comfortably and you can cope with a little bit of clunky menuing due to that, using a controller is perfectly doable ^^
I played with both methods and i have to say, that backstabbing is a LOT easier with a controller overall. So much so that it almost feels like cheating :P
Hopefully HOPEFULLY with my and many others' continued support they'll see that have few options left for the PC market and they will feel inclined to fnally work on and bring over my favorite PC game of all time, Zwei II + (which btw has perfect 360 control right out of the box)
At this point you could say that everything is fair game ^^
These guys are a gift that keep on giving
The game works fine with a 360 controller, but not Xbox one.
EDIT: I found a solution, download XInput Plus from the first link, and follow the tutorial from the 2nd link.

This may have been fixed in a Windows 10 update, but I couldn't find anything for Windows 7 aside from the tutorial I linked to.
