PS4 or PS Vita/3DS release planned?!
I really want to play this game, though...some games JUST aren't meant to be played on my powerful PC...PC is reserved for games like DOOM, Starcraft II, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War I and II, and...WH40k: Spacehulk Deathwing etc etc. I really really wanna play this game as it looks an awful lot like Y's and man was Y's 7 and Celceta on my Vita amazing amazing amazing ass games. I want this for my Vita or 3ds SO bad, does anyone have any info if this is going to be released for any handheld systems?

Thanks Community!

Could always get a ngage

It's on the N-Gage, otherwise no, this is just a localization of the 2005 pc original, theres no porting to other systems going on.

Darn, erm...where in hells would I find an ngage? Isn't that a pretty old handheld..that had little success to boot?

You should also know that N-Gage[www.hardcoregaming101.net] version of the game isn't exactly the same as this one.
If you really want to try Xananext on a handheld device, consider a streaming kit like NVidia's Shield (Tablet) or a GPD handheld. The former has Bluetooth mouse support which is optimal for playing this game (though gamepad works fine, you just won't be able to drag and drop items on the inventory menu). There's no chance in the next decade we're getting Xananext on 3DS or Vita because, unlike Mastiff, XSEED doesn't place their bets on porting one game to different platforms. For that matter, Falcom's audience certainly didn't think PC was good for only strategy games and FPSes, which is why they bought console-style action adventures like this back in 2005. If you have a toaster PC this should be worth a try, since it can run Xananext if it can run Steam.

Yeah, I wish, just don't have the money atm. I already stream from my PS4 to my vita and while I did want a shield in the past...its about to be out of date as a Nintendo DS LIKE handheld gaming PC was fully funded on indiegogo and has already been sent out to its backers. I am unsure when the public release will be, but I assume not too much longer...should check it out..can't remember the name, but neways...its amazing lol

I have a great PC btw, thats not the issue, some games...just are more fun held in the hand =D

Like Ys Origin, no, there won't be any Home Console or Handheld Version. With the exception, Falcom will re-develop the Game made for the still new Platforms. XSEED is just porting an old Game remastered to be ready to played on modern PC's. And I have to say, the PC-Ports from XSEED are really awesome, looking fantastic (consider the age of the Falcom-Games they are bringing to us) and run very stable.

Of course I would love to see such Games on my Vita. But it's in the Hands of Falcom and after the success of Tokyo Xanadu for the Vita, Falcom will focus on a new direction they already gone with both Kiseki Games.

That is a really bizarre way of looking at things. I enjoy all types of games on my pc, no matter how low spec they are.

I know, I honestly don't know why I am that way...honestly I would prefer some majority of all games I like to play in the palm of my hand. I play Destiny streamed to my PS vita from my PS4...the streaming feature for PS vita is the main reason I even bought one...cuz...most of the game library for vita is anime rpg crap or visual novels which I have no interest. But I love playing...I am Setsuna, Destiny, or Star Ocean on my vita...seemedlessly streamed btw.

I really like the giant controller and Wii U concept..I wish Xenogears X woulda been more story heavy than it turned out cuz the original was prolly in my top 3 rpgs of ALL time...but it was fun for a time and I could play it on the controler screen whenever. I am super excited about the new nintendo console coming as its a console and handheld all in one.

As a note, Xanadu Next is one of the few games from this particular era of games that Falcom never chose to port to console since they dropped all PC development. My suspicion is a combination of 1) I think they felt this was better for PC (controller support was an add-on that they patched into the game later due to popular request), simply because they never really integrated controller support for it immediately, 2) sales numbers.

However, as this is not just a Falcom PC title, but one from 2006, you don't need a very powerful PC to play it, in terms of computing power.

Additional note: Falcom doesn't develop for 3DS, as far as we know. The only Falcom title on 3DS is Gurumin 3D, and that was done third-party via Mastiff, and Falcom only just did their first PS4 title a little over a month ago.

Since you mention PS4 version as a wish, I can only assume you are a kb+m PC guy? 'Cause if you have a controller for your PC, what is the difference to a PS4, other than your PC being a lot more powerful?

Most games are best played on a sofa/recliner infront of a big screen, thats my opinion (I do have a 3DS, which I love and is being used in bed and on the subway, but as much as I love the games I have on it, I also think most of them would be cooler on a big screen using a proper controller, especially the Monster Hunter games which are just annoying on the tiny screens).
Sidonus Nov 3, 2016 @ 2:09pm
no no no... I absolutely LOVE mouse and keyboard....lol...I am not necessarily attached to controller over mouse or vica versa, I like both for different reasons and one over the other depending upon the game. Monster Hunter...that game I may agree...but...say...DQ 7..which I am playing right now on my 3ds...I absolutely WOULD NOT..have it any other way than the current 3ds platform...or maybe vita even. NOW...If I were playing Dragon Quest X (only in Japan...its a MMORPG in the Dragon Quest world...think an earlier dated version of FF 14 Online...but newer than FF XI online) I would rather play that on my PC..its completely 3d...somewhat updated graphics from DQ 7...think..updated version of WoW. It all just depends on the game, style of play, and whether the graphics are intensive, moderate, or old school 8-16 bit graphics. Though, in some cases, I like to play something handheld just because I can....for example..Destiny. I don't play Destiny on my Vita THAT often, but every once in a while I like to. Or..say..Helldivers...its cross buy so I could play it on my PS4, but..its just so much better on my Vita...ANDIDUNNOWHYKK? =D

P.S. What does kb+m PC mean?

Shooters in particular I always prefer mouse and keyboard for sure...cant beat the accuracy..no way around it, and it just feels like I have more articulation and precision control over shooters. I was REALLY disappointed in Destiny as a whole...but mainly that they never released a PC version. I even went as far as to purchase a "Xim Edge" which allows you to hook up a keyboard and mouse to any console and very meticulously and in great detail define how both will work on said console...The newest version of Xim Edge is absolutely great, love it...but..I also let a friend borrow it and need to get it back..or prolly just gift it to thema nd buy a new one as they are only about 100 $...just fyi

This game is over a decade old. Even PCs with poor CPUs and IGPs should run it fine.

I wouldn't mind a Vita/3DS version. But it's unlikely. As unlikely as TITheSky getting a 3DS port, which would give the game another chance at a healthy platform and bigger audience.
