Well, when I played the PS2 version, I found Majunun was doable at level 54 on Nightmare difficulty. For Normal, you can probably get away with level 52 or 53. I believe I used as much STR boosting accessories as possible, the Emelas Crown, and I think the extra slot or two for DEF. Then it was just unloading my magic, using Capla Waters, and then repeat while trying not to get killed. =p
But as far as getting to said levels, I did indeed use the Kishgal enemies, though yes, it took quite some time. However, at a certain point it's better to use the Limewater Cave to grind, just because of how much enemies are sometimes in a room. Not sure if that's a good spot or not at level 52, though.
On non-catastrophe I guess you have to rely on spamming capla water and magic instead of the seeds.
