Achievement Bug: Legendary Red-Haired Stepchild

I have tried several bosses and struggled to kill them with 1 HP. How hard to do it so many times! But this achievement has never worked.

I got this just fine, did you try getting your hp to 1 by poison and then entering the first boss of the game? That's the easiest way to do it.

Sure, poisoned to 1 HP then entered first boss fight many times, no one worked. Also tried other bosses, it didn't work also.

Odd. Does the last hit you get on the boss also make you level up? Since that maxes your hp it might not count for the achievement.

I got this one in a time attack boss fight. I don't remember what difficulty or boss though.

Not sure if leveling up would cause any problems or not.

Thanks for your reply. Let me try it in a boss rush to see whether I could make this achievement. It's the last achievement I haven't got for YS6.

A better way would be to just grind a little bit so that the exp gained from the first boss doesn't make you level up.

Not sure if I can help, but I got this achievement on the first boss in the game, and it still gave me the achievement even though it levelled me up. Hope you can manage to get this achievement!

I've been having issues with this one too. Just ran the whole final dungeon and killed all with 1 hp, never unlocked. I have done a few other bosses too, none work for me.

Yeah, still not work for me even now. Given up.

Bit late to the party, but is this bug still a thing in 2024? Can't get it unlocked. Tried some mini-bosses on normal and nightmare, and also some standard bosses on nightmare, but it never unlocked.

EDIT: Managed to get it during Boss Rush! Found this was the quickest way too: weaken the first boss to under 10 HP, let yourself get damage until 1HP (might require a few retries) and kill the boss.
