Two chests in Ruins of Lost Time

How do you get them?

I've tried for 20 minutes trying to jump over to the 1st chest and Adol just can't seem to jump far enough. The 2nd chest I've got no idea where to go to reach that invisible platform. I wish the game had a quick save or save state because having to spend 30 seconds climbing back up just to try again is really annoying.

Nevermind, had to use the dash jump. What an absolutely terrible mechanic for jumping...

That's probably why they removed this mechanic and added a double jump in Oath and Origin

Found a vid online. Going to post this for future people.
On the floor above is a point where 4 pillars group together with no real platform atop them. You have to dash jump and fall between them.

You can finish the game without the need to use it.

Yes, but it would be really tough.. I mean, even with all the bonuses of the chests sometimes it is tough.. without all the items I will have to grind so much
