.PNG hats no longer function if put in the game directory

After my problem was fixed from the last thread I made, I had this issue with that update, so I'm making a new thread.

Normally a properly formatted .png put in the game directory will show up in game, but that functionality doesn't seem to work anymore since that update.

Bump. I tried using quackhead to make my hat a .hat file, but it still didn't work. please help

NVM I fixed it. go to quackhead, export your hat as a .hat (click add team then export as .hat) and drop that file right into the duck game folder

I'll try this for now, but the .png support was a feature added in an update so I still think it should be fixed. Thanks for the temp fix!

This was changed in a recent patch, see the changelog in the 1.5 Update thread in the General Discussion forum

December 15th:

-PNG Hat files adjacent to the Duck Game EXE are no longer loaded (.hat files will still be loaded). Please place your custom hat files either adjacent to the exe in a folder called Hats, or in
Documents/DuckGame/Custom/Hats or Documents/DuckGame/Hats
